Hartsoe’s latest single, “San Pedro Square,” is a punchy roots rocker about his neophyte band days in his hometown of San Jose, California, in the late 1980s. "San Pedro Square is a neighborhood in downtown San Jose. From 1986-1987, it was the center of a thriving local alternative music scene. Every night, you could hang with local musicians, get and give tips for booking, recording, whatever. Even San Francisco bands like Camper Van Beethoven would make the 50-mile drive to play the club there, The Laundry Works," Hartsoe says.

"The song, 'San Pedro Square,' resulted from reminiscing when my band from that period, London Down, decided to reunite in 2018. We went back and listened to old demo cassettes, uploaded photos, and found we still have an audience. It was a great time that I have not experienced since."
